When it comes to safety, the all-round protection of the Opel Agila leaves nothing to be desired.
A rigid passenger protection structure is the basis for the Opel Agila’s passive safety. This has been computer designed and physically tested to ensure the least possible deformation and largest possible protection space in the event of serious impact from front, rear, or sides. For even more protection, progressively deformable crumple zones surround this structure.
Every Opel Agila comes with front and front seat side-impact airbags for the driver and front passenger. When a child seat is carried, or when the front passenger seat is unoccupied, the passenger airbag can be deactivated from a switch on the facia.
The seatbelt reminder automatically lights on the central instrument cluster and a buzzer reminds the driver to fasten the seatbelt.
Opel’s patented Pedal Release System decouples the clutch and brake pedals in the event of a serious frontal accident. This reduces the risk of injury in the foot region.
