Advanced Anti-lock Braking System (ABS)
In the Opel Corsa, ABS is much more than ’just‘ ABS. It is the latest generation system incorporating a number of additional functions:
Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD): optimises the braking performance according to the vehicle load.
Cornering Brake Control (CBC): improves stability when braking in bends by reducing brake pressure to the inner front wheel.
Straight Line Stability Control (SLS): detects and corrects any instability when braking in a straight line by reducing brake pressure on the relevant wheel.

ESP® Plus
The optional Electronic Stability Programme not only adds traction control and reduces understeer but also enhances safety. The system works in conjunction with the car's traction control set-up, sensing when the vehicle is about to slide on a bend and applying corrective braking on the appropriate wheel or wheels, correcting the slide and helping you regain control more rapidly. With conventional ESP systems the braking is only applied to one wheel.

Electric Power Steering (EPS)
The speed-sensitive power-assisted steering provides increased assistance for low-speed manoeuvres, and has now been modified to offer more precise handling and straight line control. The set-up is matched specifically to the engine to ensure optimum feel and assistance.
