The touch-operated electric parking brake on the Opel Insignia offers both increased parking security and less effort. Combined with Hill Start Assist and Hill Hold, which both prevent the car rolling backwards when stopped on a hill, it gets you moving smoothly, effortlessly and more safely.

The fully orthopaedic ergonomic driver’s sports seat adjust eight ways and has four-way lumbar support to suit your posture perfectly. The adjustable seat-extension cushion delivers relaxing leg support.

The ergonomic sports seat is approved and recommended by AGR (Aktion Gesunder Rücken e.V.), a German medical association that has set orthopaedic requirements for car seats.

Insignia now features the superb Navi 600 integrated satellite navigation system with 7-inch colour display and USB connection on all models except Insignia S. Featuring the latest SD card-based navigation the USB connection also lets you control your iPod via the steering wheel controls.

The optional Navi 900 additionally features 3D and ‘bird’s eye’ views together with voice control.

Insignia S models features a still impressive stereo radio with CD/MP3 CD player with aux-in and seven-speakers.

There are two optional Bluetooth™ solutions for connecting your mobile phone. Firstly there’s a simple Bluetooth connection alternatively there’s a more sophisticated ‘embedded’ system which downloads your contacts, making your car the mobile phone. All-important phone functions can be operated from the steering wheel, the audio unit, or via voice control.

The deep-opening rear hatch and low load height means that the Opel Insignia Sports Tourer is convenient and easy to load. The versatile 60/40 split rear seats feature a load through facility and can fold forward without needing to remove the headrests. This results into an impressive maximum load volume of 1,530 litres.

Even with the rear seats occupied, 540 litres of unobstructed volume ensures there is enough luggage space for every eventuality. To protect both the cargo and the interior there are four load restraint lashing eyes.

The optional FlexOrganiser® system consists of four rails fitted into the side of Sports Tourer’s luggage compartment.

A variety of different partitioning elements, storage boxes, nets, hooks, and other components can be used to configure the load compartment to meet individual requirements.

A dog guard is available as an additional accessory to separate your pet from the load area.
