The Opel Meriva ecoFLEX with the 1.3 CDTI engine with 70 kW (95 hp) cuts CO2 emissions to just 119 g/km and is the most economical and environmentally friendly way to enjoy the Opel Meriva.
A running engine in a stationary car consumes fuel and emits CO2 emissions. Opel’s Start/Stop System automatically stops the engine when the car comes to a standstill. The engine promptly restarts as soon as the clutch is engaged.
All petrol engines feature lightweight components and advanced technologies such as dual cam phasing for good performance and low fuel consumption. There are three 1.4 Turbo engines available with either 100PS,120PS or 140PS. The 103 kW (140 hp) 1.4 Turbo engine is enhanced by an overboost function that delivers extra performance on demand for short periods. The 100PS engine is additionally fitted with Opel’s fuel-saving Start/Stop technology.
Diesel engine range
For fans of diesel power there is a broad range of common rail diesel engines, from the frugal 1.3 CDTI available with 75PS or 95PS outputs and the 1.7 CDTI 130PS model and the automatic only 110PS variant.
The high-mounted gear shifter enables positive, smooth shifting with the 5- and 6-speed manual transmissions, making gear changing a pleasure. A 6-speed automatic transmission is offered with the 1.7 CDTI with 81 kW (110 PS). On the road, it adapts itself to the style of the driver and the conditions, while the ActiveSelect® function lets the driver shift manually.
