No matter how you drive, or how far, seat comfort is vital. The Opel Astra delivers it with a fully orthopaedic ergonomic driver’s sports seat that adjusts 6 ways with 4-way lumbar support to suit your posture – perfectly.

It’s available as an option on all models. Whilst on Elite models the ergonomic seat is standard and additionally features perforated leather with heating, bringing a luxurious feel to the Opel Astra

The ergonomic sports seat is approved and recommended by AGR (Aktion Gesunder Rücken e.V.), a German medical association that has set orthopaedic requirements for car seats.

Air quality and control is a major feature of the New Astra’s interior comfort. The Electronic Climate Control (ECC) offers a new quietness and sense of control, including individual driver setting memory. The air is charcoal filtered and both front seat occupants can choose their preferred temperature separately. The ECC also features controlled partial air recirculation for improved heat up and cooling performance. ECC is standard on Elite, optional on all other models.

The integrated Astra infotainment system is as great to look at as it is easy to use, whether you’re listening to the radio, a CD, your MP3 player or navigating to your destination. A stereo radio with CD/CD MP3 player and aux-in is standard across all models, or you can opt for a state-of-the-art Navi 600 navigation system including a USB connection with iPod control.

There are two optional Bluetooth™ solutions for connecting your mobile phone. Firstly there’s a simple Bluetooth connection alternatively there’s a more sophisticated ‘embedded’ system which downloads your contacts, making your car the mobile phone. All-important phone functions can be operated from the steering wheel, the audio unit, or via voice control.
