J McChesney & Sons crowned Opel Dealer of the year 2022

J McChesney & Sons, Main Opel Dealer, Clontibret, County Monaghan has won the coveted Opel Dealer of the Year 2022 award. Brian and Wendy McChesney, Dealer Principals, were presented with the accolade at the annual Opel Dealer Conference, held at The Heritage Killenard, County Laois, this week. Holding a strong 6.9% Opel combined passenger car and light commercial vehicle market share in Monaghan, the win comes as the company reaches a significant milestone in 2022, celebrating 75 years in business.

Appointed to the Opel Dealer Network in 1977, J McChesney & Son is a family-run business. Established by John McChesney in 1947, the enterprise grew to new heights in 1977, when his son Robert began selling Opel passenger cars and light commercial vehicles. Increasingly recognised in their locality for outstanding customer service, the company’s ethos of always putting the customer first has seen both their sales and aftersales business grow from strength to strength over the decades.
