MULLINGAR OPEL PRESENTED WITH OPEL SALES DEALER OF THE YEAR 2025 AWARD

Mullingar Opel has been awarded the Opel Sales Dealer of the Year 2025 accolade. Dealer Principal, Stephen Briggs, was presented with the trophy to much applause at the Dealer launch of the all-new Opel Frontera, held at Gowan Auto, Citywest, on 7th October.  

 

Mullingar Opel topped the polls across set criteria to win the Opel Sales Dealer of the Year 2025 title, to include retail sales achievement and growth, new vehicle customer satisfaction, and consistent marketing actions. Indeed, the dealership has seen a remarkable evolution in new Grandland SUV sales in 2025 (+400%), recording the highest growth in the Dealer Network. 

 

First established in 2011, Mullingar Opel is part of the expansive Gilmore Group and is located in Lough Sheever Corporate Park on the Castlepollard Road in Mullingar. The expansive showroom boasts the full range of new Opel vehicles, together with a wide variety of used Opels, with servicing, bodywork, parts and accessories on offer. Stephen and his team have built up a strong reputation for customer service over almost 15 years.

Stephen has enthusiastically embraced every facet of retail sales and marketing business in 2025, delivering a healthy Opel market share in Westmeath for both passenger cars and light commercial vehicles, and surpassing his sales target.”

 

He continued: “I wish Stephen and his team every continued success for the approaching 261-period and indeed with the new Opel Frontera, which is just arriving onto our dealer forecourts this week and promises to bring us to even greater heights in 2026.”

Stephen Briggs, Dealer Principal, said: “I am so proud to bring the Opel Sales Dealer of the Year trophy to Westmeath. I am equally thrilled to know that our team’s continued efforts are recognised by Opel and Gowan Auto, and I personally thank all my team for their absolute dedication to our company and to Opel. In addition, without the backing of the fantastic teams at Opel, Gowan Auto and Gilmore Group, we could not have come close to this achievement. With new Frontera arriving on our forecourt this week and the newly announced 5-year unlimited mileage warranty across the Opel car range, we look forward in confidence to the years to come.”

 

He added: “I cannot accept this award without acknowledging our many, very valued customers. We thank them sincerely for all their support throughout the years and we very much look forward to seeing everyone in 2026 at Mullingar Opel.”
